The hair is found in the head region of the body, for every woman, it needs to be well taken care of so as to look healthy and attractive. As other parts of the body, it is dividing into layers namely

      The medulla which is the inner fiber of the hair.

     Trimming – to revive a damaged hair easily is by having a good trim, this may be total trimming of the hair or trimming it short then you maintain the remaining hair for a healthier hair.

    This is because hair is mostly damaged around the tips of the hair. After trimming follow it up with restorative hair products for amazing results.

      Hair brushing – when brushing your hair endeavor not to brush from the roots of the hair as this will cause more harm than good to the hair, make sure that the brush you are using is soft with flexible bristles.

      Do not brush the hair when wet except for curly hairs and do that with a wide toothed comb. If you are brushing your hair divide them into sections and begin from the ends.

    And if you go swimming without your swim cap endeavor to wash your hair with a gentle shampoo after swimming, also after swimming don't sit under the sun as this will react with the chlorine and compound issues.

       Stop the use of chemicals on your hair – stop the use of harsh chemicals on your hair so as to aid quick recovery of the hair, use products that are very gentle on your hair especially when using hair colors such as ammonia free products and demi-permanent formulas.

    Discuss with your stylist on alternative methods to permanent waves or straighteners, and use a temporary smoother formula as it will help you control curls, diminish frizz and prolong dryness.

      Use silk pillow cases - cotton pillow cases dry out your hair and causes friction which makes your hair tear and snags. But with silk pillowcases, it will not dry out your hair or cause any friction to your hair.

     Use the right shampoo and conditioner – always use shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate free, contain Sodium Laurel or Laureth Sulfates as these ingredients will drain your hair of its natural protective oils and opt for the ones that contain natural oils and herbs for quick restoration. 

     Shampoo your hair twice a week and not more to prevent brittleness of the hair, also the use of hot water damage the hair, it is advisable to use a lukewarm water to wash your hair and finish up with cold water as cold water helps to close your hair cuticles and makes your hair shaft to lie flat making it more attractive and smooth. 

    If your hair is damaged through build-ups from products, water deposits and minerals then opt for a clarifying shampoo as build-ups make your hair to be lifeless and limp and have split ends.

    A good clarifying shampoo and treatments can be used once or twice a month to help the situation, also always use conditioners that have moisturizing effects such as aloe vera, glycerol, Panthenol, proteins and contains active components like shea butter, argan oil or macadamia nut oil which will repair your hair and coat each strand protective layer and make it thick. 

    Use hair mask to restore your hair fast – always shop for hydrating treatments and select products that have high restorative and moisturizing ingredients such as shea butter, keratin, olive oil or protein and stay away from products that contain silicone or paraben.

    Always apply this treatment to your hair twice a week and leave it on for an hour covering it with a plastic shower cap so that your hair can absorb it.

      Oil treatments are seen as an alternative to restoring dry and damaged hair as it moisturizes and repairs your hair fast, apply oil treatments to your hair.

   Cover a shower cap and sit under the sun or wrap it with a hot towel or use a blow dryer and wash off when cool. This is to be done once a month as it will help to restore your hair fast but be careful not to overdo it.

   Get enough sleep to reduce stress – not having enough rest affects your hair and makes it look unhealthy, try to reduce stress by having enough sleep after a long day work.

     Eat good foods – a good and balanced diet helps to restore your damaged hair, when you are malnourished it affects the growth of your hair.

    Give yourself a good diet consisting of vitamins, essential nutrients and drink lot of water. Include diets like vegetables, fruits, low-fat dairy, omega – 3 acids, walnuts, flaxseeds and take supplements for a good and healthy hair.

     Hair accessories – always use the right hair accessories for your hair and avoid the use of rubber bands, any hair accessory that has sharp metal edges as these will cause more damage to your hair.

      Rather opt for plastic hair clips, elastic hair ties, and fabric covered scrunches as these will put less stress on your hair.
